  • The Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle fundraising campaign showed a 10% INCREASE in giving in 2008 over 2007. Especially interesting because the campaign runs only from Thanksgiving to Christmas and occurs at shopping areas. Retail sales declined in the same period.

      1. Great statistic there Sean. Interesting that when people’s pocketbooks are being hit the hardest, their generosity increases. Quite comforting really! People still have concern for their less fortunate brothers and sisters!
