We are setting up North America's first social stock exchange connected to a green social network at: http://greensx.com, which will be launched in the Summer of 2008 to begin trading. It will trade shares in social businesses. A social business is a business that makes a profit, but benefits society as well. We have a triple bottom line (economic + social + environmental).

Since all the listed companies on the exchange are pre-screened, evaluated, and audited according to social and sustainable guidelines set by the exchange, it will make it much easier for green investors to find and support social businesses. The GREENSX provides opportunities for small green Issuers to access public equity capital efficiently, while providing early stage investors, angel investors, and venture capitalists with greater liquidity.

We have been working on the Green Stock Exchange, even before Muhammad Yunus's book came out. We have not made any press releases yet, so nobody knows about it yet. It is still in the beta stage testing. Check it out at: http://greensx.com.

With the uncertainty of today?s financial markets, discussion of the future?s ?social stock exchanges? is most welcomed! FasterCures is an action tank dedicated to accelerating medical solutions by removing the barriers that slow discovery and development. We work with a number of nonprofit disease research organizations in our TRAIN network (The Redstone Acceleration and Innovation Network) and have witnessed some of the trends expected to emerge and drive these social stock exchanges. For example, we work with several disease groups that are proactive in seeking scientists to lead targeted research efforts rather than waiting to administer awards to investigator-initiated projects.

We also know that philanthropists are interested in ?third party evaluation firms [providing] regular reports? about nonprofit groups. In response, with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we are developing the FasterCures Philanthropy Advisory Service. The Philanthropy Advisory Service will identify and characterize opportunities to support nonprofit medical research and will provide that data to foundations, philanthropists, and their financial advisers through both publications and direct consulting services. We envision a service in which experienced market research analysts will develop a screening tool to create an ?investment grade? level of information regarding the nature, potential impact, and probability of success of various disease research organizations? efforts. For more information about the Philanthropy Advisory Service please access http://www.fastercures.org/sec/meria
