I think the overwhelming response is really a testament to the potential that a small group of people can have by tapping into their social networks. FORGE has a full-time staff of only four people, but they are four dedicated people who truly believe in the work they do. Additionally, they have the help of a strong and passionate alumni network that can be motivated to action in a matter of hours. It proves that social networking is a very, very powerful tool for mobilizing a group of people.
