First, I'd like to echo Nick's thanks to everyone who voted for FORGE and to Sean Stannard-Stockton. I think the overwhelming response is really a testament to the potential that a small group of people can have by tapping into their social networks. FORGE has a full-time staff of only four people, but they are four dedicated people who truly believe in the work they do. Additionally, they have the help of a strong and passionate alumni network that can be motivated to action in a matter of hours. Clearly, judging by the posts on December third, this passion is contagious!

It was really amazing to see the amount of people pouring in from our Facebook posts, updates, and our "event". It proves that social networking is a very, very powerful tool for mobilizing a group of people. In this case, it was in support of a wonderful organization that I've had the privilege to work with for over two years.

FORGE Go Go Win!

Be well,
Peter Carmen
